Living Beyond Yourself, Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit
“Did you ever get the feeling that once the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, they suddenly became flawless? It’s obvious that such an assumption is false! Every single day, they fought the same battle with the flesh that we do, and sometimes they lost.” Let’s study together with Beth Moore videos, as we walk through Living Beyond Yourself, Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit.
Acts
The Acts of the Apostles is the second part of Luke’s history. It was written so we would have the true story of how the Christian church began and grew. This book especially tells about the work of two of the apostles Peter and Paul. Peter is the central person Involved in beginning the church in Jerusalem and Paul is the important missionary who went out to nearby countries to tell others about Christ. Acts can also be called “The Acts of the Holy Spirit” because it teaches about the coming and work of the Spirit.
The book of Acts teaches 3 things about the early church:
· What the message of the early church was.
· How the Jews rejected this message and how God sent the apostles to the Gentiles who accepted the Gospel.
· How the early church was treated by the local and Roman governments.
Come join us for this in depth look at how the church began and grew and the coming and work of the Holy Spirit.
